Kellan Lutz Loved Arm Wrestling Kristen Stewart In 'Breaking Dawn'

Ask a "Twilight" fan which "Breaking Dawn" scene is their favorite or which they're most looking forward to seeing on the big screen, and you'll likely get a hundred different answers. But, ask a "Twilight" castmember the same question, and you might get similarly themed responses from all of them. At least, that's been the case when MTV News has approached the "Twilight" crew about the film: They all love the Kristen Stewart-as-a-vampire scenes.

Our latest example comes courtesy of Kellan Lutz, who, when we caught up with him at the premiere of his new romantic comedy, "Love, Wedding, Marriage," offered this commentary about his favorite "Breaking Dawn" scene to shoot:

"I would have to say the arm-wrestling scene with Bella," he said, speaking about when newly turned and newly super-strong vamp Bella (Stewart) battles beefy Emmett Cullen (Lutz). "It turned out really well. I think the fans are really going to enjoy it."

Lutz isn't the only one who enjoyed Stewart as a vampire: Both Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson have admitted they loved seeing Stewart get feisty.

"We did a scene in the backyard of the Cullen house where Bella (Stewart) gets mad at me," Lautner revealed. "She just learned that I imprinted on her daughter, and she is literally throwing me around the backyard. So it was pretty fun to see Kristen try and act all tough. She's a vampire; she's chucking me across the yard into trees and stuff. It was funny."

Pattinson told us back in January: "It's like she wanted to do it the entire time. It's really funny: It's like a completely different environment onset when she's a vampire and when she's not."

Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz top People's Sexiest Men list

Twilight hunks Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz have made People magazine's 100 Sexy Men list this year.

People will unveil its choice for Sexiest Man Alive for 2010 on a TV special hosted by Kim Kardashian on Nov. 17.

The program will feature behind-the-scenes footage of the magazine's editorial meetings and photo selections for the 2010 Sexiest Man Alive issue and an interview with the top choice.

Pattinson, 24, Lautner, 18, and Lutz, 25, are currently in production/shooting mode for Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment in the blockbuster Twilight saga.

Rob and Kristen Stewart (Bella), 20, have been in Brazil since last week, where they filmed some sizzling honeymoon scenes for the upcoming vampire romance.

It's not surprising that three Twilight heartthrobs made this year's Sexy Men list considering the athletic Kellan and the superfit Taylor are both workout fanatics who enjoy healthy, active lifestyles.

Its Official. Breaking Dawn into 2 films.

Summit just had a great announcement guys:

Summit Entertainment confirmed today that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will be released as two separate films with the first of the two slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011. Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct both films starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner along with Billy Burke as Charlie Swan as well as returning members of the Cullen Family including Peter Facinelli as Carlisle, Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper, Nikki Reed as Rosalie, Ashley Greene as Alice and Kellan Lutz as Emmett.

The project, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing. The TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will start production in the Fall.

Breaking Dawn Might Split in Two Without Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene?

Starry-eyed, vampire-loving romantics aren't the only ones jealous of Bella and Edward right now.

Summit Entertainment is primed to split the final Twilight Saga installment, Breaking Dawn, into two films: author Stephenie Meyer has signed off; Bill Condon's onboard to direct two; Robert Pattinson is ready to roll, as are Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

So what's the holdup on declaring Breaking Dawn a twofer?



According to the Hollywood Reporter, it's some of the so-called secondary and lesser-paid stars of the series, particularly Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene, who have not agreed to Summit's terms and are demanding more money for their pale-faced efforts.

A source told the trade that the offers the actors received for the proposed fifth film were "offensive" in comparison with how much dough the franchise has earned. Another insider says, meanwhile, that Summit might be willing to cut ties with at least one of them to "make a point."

Now, fans have already been forced to accept a midsaga cast change: Bryce Dallas Howard replaces Rachelle Lefevre as the murderous Victoria in the upcoming Eclipse.

But there might be a mutiny if the Cullen clan is replaced with newcomers!

Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed After Twilight: Breaking Dawn.

I have to say that these articles have been fun to write. I’ve been impressed with the responses I’ve gotten from them. I expected some blind hatred (which I’ve gotten), but I’ve been surprised with how some of these stars’ biggest fans can take a logical look at their careers and realize there are some trouble ahead for them.

I think the biggest question mark is still with the two biggest stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. I actually went back and watched a couple of Rob’s movies (LITTLE ASHES and HOW TO BE) and…wow…they were horrible. Hopefully you guys see something in him that I don’t. As for Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene, I think most people agreed with my assessment and that we’re in kind of a “wait and see” mode.

The last of my three-part editorial is by far and away the hardest because they’re the “forgotten” stars of the series. The main four get so much credit, but these two have started to line up some projects that might shoot them past their co-stars if everything goes right.


KELLAN LUTZ



Before Twilight: I had never heard of Kellan before the Twilight series, but he’s been around for a while. He started out doing bit parts on TV shows, but then did a couple of tweenie-films with STICK-IT and ACCEPTED. His biggest break (before Twilight, obviously) was as Cpl. Lilley in ‘Generation Kill’, which gives hope that he has some acting talent.

After Twilight: Kellan has also done a fine job of lining up projects at a brisk pace. Following in Lautner’s “accept any offer” mold, Lutz has accepted parts in DEATHGAMES, WARRIOR, IMMORTALS and LOVE, WEDDING, MARRIAGE. So that’s two action movies and one rom-com, which isn’t bad for someone like Kellan. He’s already proven he can act, so getting a chance to shine in IMMORTALS should be a good break for him.

Prediction: This depends on what Kellan wants to do. I really think he could be a big action star in the vein of Dwayne Johnson or Jason Statham if he wants to go that route. There’s a void in the action movie genre that Kellan could fill. But we still need to see him carry his own film (DEATHGAMES should take care of that) before I have too much confidence. But his future is pretty bright and I give him a 50% chance of being relevant after TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN.


NIKKI REED


Before Twilight: Nikki probably had the most interesting and diverse career before Twilight. She broke onto the scene with 2003’s THIRTEEN, which she also wrote (at 13), then went away for a little bit and then came back in LORDS OF DOGTOWN. She’s done several smaller films, but hardly what I would consider a mainstream career.

After Twilight: Again, not a whole lot going on. She did a smaller film (LAST DAY OF SUMMER) and has a couple of upcoming projects; PRIVELEDGED and CHAIN LETTER, but I can’t say I’m blown away by either role. But I’m not sure this is because she’s intentionally not choosing bigger roles or if she’s not getting offers.

Prediction: Of the six stars I’ve talked about so far, I have to say that Nikki is the hardest to predict. I want to give her a lot of credit for THIRTEEN and say that she’ll have a career based off that alone. But I have to remind myself that THIRTEEN was seven years ago and she still hasn’t taken off. But with the Twilight films and some other projects coming up, I think Nikki has a good chance to break out of the mold and I give her a 60% chance of being relevant after Twilight: Breaking Dawn is over.

So now you might be wondering why I haven’t talked about Peter Facinelli, Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning or Michael Sheen. To be honest, I think all four of them have clearly distanced themselves from Twilight to the point that the saga now has no impact on them. For right or wrong, I think all of them will be fine from here on out.
