Robert Pattinson Giving Breaking Dawn Movie Spoilers!

Robert Pattinson is talking ‘Elephants,’ but can’t seem to escape questions about the upcoming release of ‘Breaking Dawn.’ He even threw out a few spoilers while speaking to the press this week.

Just when the Twilight fervor has seemingly screeched to a halt, the real life Edward comes to the rescue. For fans of the series there are so many distractions, and so many other teenage heart throbs to obsess over (paging Justin Bieber)—and for a time, it felt like ‘the saga’ was losing steam.

Perhaps in a clever move, we’re being treated to a few spoilers fresh off the set of the final two films—just in time to keep our attention.

While R-Patz has been on the road promoting his latest flick ‘Water For Elephants,’ he has found himself spending just about equal time discussing the epic two-part finale. Such was the case in a few recent interviews where the questions eventually began to meander their way back to Twilight.

This week, we learned a few interesting tid-bits about what we can expect. For starters, he insists that the plot of the final installment is ‘outside the box’ and ‘really different’ from what we’ve seen before. As for what that means, he seemed to imply that it is far more risqué than the first three, and even joked that it is hard to believe it will be rated PG-13.

Even more exciting is word that Kristen Stewart will turn into a bad mamma jamma of a vampire. Rob described her as ‘the most convincing’ of all of the Cullens. He also joked about the many hours she has spent wearing a ‘pregnant suit.’

For fans, the change in Bella will undoubtedly be a relief. I’ve heard lots of die hards talk about how frustratingly helpless her character seems. It should be nice to see a Bella that can stand on her own two feet without swooning over a studly Jacob, or a sulking Edward.

I’m looking forward to seeing a different side of Robert Pattinson in ‘Elephants,’ but just like the rest of us, I need my vampire fix.

Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner 'bulking up' for Breaking Dawn

Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are set to get even sexier - the pair are bulking up their muscles for the final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn.
Robert Pattinson is reportedly on a high protein diet and has amazed diners at his local Nando's by popping in regularly for meaty treats, while Taylor Lautner has been adding to his impressive six pack in preparation for the final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn.

A source who saw R-Pattz in Nandos said: "He is a regular visitor to the Victoria branch in London. The customers can never believe it is really him - or how much he eats.

"He's mad about the peri peri chicken."

Taylor almost lost his role in New Moon - which was a bigger part than he had played in Twilight - until he piled on the muscle to turn himself into a "leading man".

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg said: "He took it upon himself to transform himself into a leading man. He made himself a leading man. That was nobody but him, he made that for himself."

Breaking Dawn Movie Update from Robert Pattinson

Breaking Dawn is split into three separate parts. The first part details Bella’s marriage and honeymoon with Edward, which they spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil. Two weeks into their honeymoon, Bella realizes that she is pregnant and that her condition is progressing at an unnaturally accelerated rate.

The novel’s second part is written from the perspective of wolf shape-shifter Jacob Black, and lasts throughout Bella’s pregnancy and childbirth. Jacob’s Quileute wolf pack, not knowing what danger the unborn child may pose, plan to destroy it, also killing Bella.

The third section of Breaking Dawn shifts back to Bella’s perspective, finding her changed into a vampire and enjoying her new life and abilities. However, the vampire Irina misidentifies Renesmee as an “immortal child”, a child who has been turned into a vampire.

Breaking Dawn Movie Updates: Kristen Stewart Talks Bella's Daughter

With so many rumors on the plan of making "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn", Kristen Stewart is expected to give some updates on the film. However, being met by MTV at 2010 Sundance Film Festival, the actress admitted that she does not have the answers for most of the questions about the movie.

"I don't even know if it's going to be one [film] or two, or who is directing it, or when it's even going [to start]," she claimed. "I know that it's going to go, but not when yet." Despite the fact that Melissa Rosenberg has been tapped to pen "Breaking Dawn", Stewart revealed that she has not read the script, saying "I haven't seen a script, but I'm not alone in really, really wondering how they're going to handle that."

Later, the depicter of Bella Swan in the vampire drama film series also talked about one of the important parts in the last installment of the "Twilight" franchise, which is the birth Bella and Edward Cullen's child, Renesmee. Though she is not sure who will portray the little girl, Stewart could say easily that "she's got to be cute". She then added, "She can't just be this scary superhuman teeth baby!"

"The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" will continue the love story between mortal beauty Bella Swan and hundred-year-old vampire Edward Cullen. Beside Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are also signed to reprise their roles of Edward Cullen and Jacob Black in the upcoming film. Production for the movie is expected to be kicked off in Vancouver this fall, but no director has been attached to the project.

Breaking Dawn Movie Updates: 'Breaking Dawn' filming to start this autumn

Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey expects to start filming of ‘Breaking Dawn’, the final installment of the Twilight series, in Vancouver by this fall.

The third film “Eclipse” will be released on June 30.

Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final novel by author Stephenie Meyer, may be split in two films.

“It's a work in process. The issue [of whether there will be one or two movies] is not going to be resolved until we get the full treatment and see whether it's organic. If it's not organic, I don't think it will be done, and if it is, it will be.

It really has to do with how much level of detail from the books there is, with all of these new vampires that appear in 'Breaking Dawn,' the whole section about Jacob... It's a very long single movie if it does become a single movie,” said Godfrey.

Producer hopes to find a good director
Godfrey, who is still looking for a director, hopes to find one who is both gifted in directing actors as well as in complicated visual effects.

Even though Chris Weitz, director of recent movie “New Moon,” would want to return for “Breaking Dawn,” Godfrey downplayed the possibility, saying, “I think everyone would be happy and excited if he came back, but I don't think it's going to happen.”

He added by saying he needs someone who can handle “the emotions and the intensity of the love story”.

“We're just focused on the treatment and getting that right. At that point, we're going to see who's available and who's appropriate,” said Godfrey.

Breaking Dawn—the novel and the movie
The Breaking Dawn novel, originally split in three parts, is largely centered on ‘Renesmee’, the half human, half/vamp child of Bella and Edward.

The child possesses a unique way of communicating with those around her, clearly inherited from her Dad's side. The movie will deal with Bella getting bitten by Edward and her new life as a vampire.

The beginning will also feature Edward and Bella’s honeymoon, which they spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil.

“It's such a complicated book because you have the emotions and the intensity of the love story -- so you need somebody who's just a wonderful director of actors -- and yet it's really complicated from an action and visual effects standpoint. They've got to have both tools in their kit,” said Godfrey.

In order for this to happen, Summit Entertainment will be offering Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner substantial raises as well as bringing back “New Moon” director Chris Weitz to helm the films. As for the next flick “Eclipse,” fans can look forward to a June 20, 2010 release date and plenty of vampire/werewolf drama.

Typically, when we do one of our MTV cheat sheets, it's a compilation of all the info you need to know before you go see that movie opening weekend. Sometimes, we'll even stretch things a bit and give you the 411 on a blockbuster film coming along months from now. But if there's one film worth a reworking of the rules, it's "Breaking Dawn."

Technically, the fourth "Twilight" film remains hypothetical at best. But that hasn't stopped the fans from wanting it, the series stars from talking about it, or the behind-the-scenes machinations from providing a story as compelling as Stephenie Meyer's controversial final novel. So, on the heels of the massive "New Moon" opening, here's a look at what you need to know as you wait for cameras to inevitably roll one last time on Edward and Bella.

And So It Begins

Naturally, we've been there since day one, blowing the lid off "Breaking Dawn" mania with an exclusive Stephenie Meyer interview that had the author explaining film possibilities, the novel's out-of-left-field plot twists, and even emotionally reacting to fans who had returned their copies to voice displeasure. Nevertheless, as Meyer went on tour with the novel and fans began to process its plot revelations, the black sheep of the "Twilight" saga seemed to begin winning over fans — and 47 percent of Twilighters recently selected it as the top movie in the franchise they want to see.

Who's Steering the Ship?

As the fans know, every "Twilight" movie thus far has had its own distinctive director at the helm — so, for the final movie, everybody seems to have an opinion. Jamie Campbell Bower and Ashley Greene want Tim Burton, who told us the gig could be "nice." RPattz would prefer Oscar-nominee Gus Van Sant, while many of the actors — and the fans — want Chris Weitz to be the franchise's first two-time filmmaker. (Sorry to break the news to you folks, but the "New Moon" director hopes to be a full-time surfer by the time "Breaking Dawn" hits theaters.)

Wait Till You See This

Bella Swan giving birth? Edward Cullen tearing her open? Jacob Black making his move ... on their infant daughter? At times, "Breaking Dawn" can be weirder than Gary Busey on a red carpet, so it's no surprise that Taylor Lautner is a bit unsure how he'll film his character's twists and turns. The star was surprised when he first read the novel, and Kristen Stewart still has trouble wrapping her head around Bella's decisions. This much is certain: Whoever does direct the final movie will have their work cut out for them.

Two Is Better Than One?

Harry Potter's fans were so loyal that the franchise's handlers said they'd rather make two movies than abridge "The Deathly Hallows" too much. Ever since Meyer herself told us exclusively in July 2008 that she liked the idea, the notion of similarly splitting "Breaking Dawn" has proven as difficult to escape as James the "tracker" vampire. That's good news for Taylor Lautner and others who can't wait to get cameras rolling, although RPattz has expressed some concern over becoming "Twilighted out." Well, if he needs some extra energy on the set, Rob could always find inspiration in the sugar rush of a delicious "Twilight" chocolate bar.

Where's the Green Light?

The fans have their 10 bucks ready, the actors want in and Stephenie Meyer has given her blessing. Now all we're waiting for is a suit to give the official thumbs-up. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has been asked back, $141 million in opening-weekend box office certainly helps the franchise, and Summit even recently sold the rights to FX to air four "Twilight" movies. With the announcement seemingly inevitable and RPattz saying the series could return to Portland, "New Moon" mania and "Eclipse" eagerness may soon give way to ... "Breaking Dawn" dementia?

Breaking Dawn Movie Updates: Jacob's New Love In Breaking Dawn

If you've only seen the movie "Twilight" and plan to watch the sequel "New Moon" this weekend, you might get caught up in all the Team Edward vs. Team Jacob hype. If you haven't read Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novels, you might not know which monstrous young man ends up with Bella, and you might not know about some of the stranger elements of "Breaking Dawn."

Taylor Lautner, however, has read the books. And with a "Breaking Dawn" movie as inevitable as death, taxes and "CSI" spin-offs, he's a bit freaked out about what's to come. As Taylor told us recently, he'll have to work closely with the film's director to handle the delicate material.

" 'Breaking Dawn' kind of came out of left field. It's a very different movie," Lautner grinned, remembering that he was a bit shocked last year when Meyer's final novel was published.

In the book, Bella and Edward get married, go on their honeymoon and give birth to a vampire/human hybrid baby they name Renesmee. Having lost the battle for Bella, Lautner's Jacob Black is present at the baby's bloody birth — and almost immediately "imprints" on the newborn, essentially claiming her as his soul mate.

"It caught me by surprise when I read the book," Lautner admitted. "I think I originally heard it happened through somebody who had already read it — and I didn't believe it.

"Then I read the book, and I was like, 'You've got to be kidding me,' " he said. "Now that I've thought about it more and more, I understand it more and more. But still, in the back of my head, I'm like, 'That's a little odd.' "

Now, the biggest obstacle if there is a fourth "Twilight" film would seem to be figuring out a way Jacob could claim an infant child as his lover without seeming like some sort of borderline-pedophile weirdo. "It might be a little odd actually doing that," Lautner admitted.

With a grin, Taylor jokingly imagined his scene. " 'Hey, Bella, your daughter? She's smokin'!' " he laughed. "I don't know [how I'm going to do that]."

But even though "New Moon" marks Taylor's first performance as Jacob with the knowledge of how it all will eventually conclude, the actor insisted that he couldn't let the Renesmee thing cloud his scenes romancing Bella. "I've tried to stay as focused as possible on the movie that we're doing now," he said. "My focus has just stopped with 'Eclipse.' "

Breaking Dawn Movie Updates: Breaking Dawn might not get made?

In a recent interview with Blast and other reporters, “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz revealed that there are no current plans to film the final chapter in the “Twilight” saga, “Breaking Dawn.”

The first three films have been made, but Lutz expressed the fear that if “New Moon” doesn’t get enough love from the fans, “Breaking Dawn” might never get made, leaving the saga permanently unfinished.

“We aren’t filming it,” Lutz said when asked about the progress on “Breaking Dawn.”

“It’s a real bummer,” he said, “because when we did ‘Twilight,’ we always hoped to continue on with the book series. Like you saw with ‘Aragon’ –- the fans didn’t support it enough, so they didn’t make the sequel, which would suck.”

Some may find it hard to believe the the cultural phenomenon that is “Twilight” wouldn’t have enough fan power to propel the series to completion. But with no word from the studio and no actors under contract, “Breaking Dawn” falling through could become a real possibility.

“There’s no word on ‘Breaking Dawn.’ They said goodbye to all the crew in Vancouver,” Lutz said. “Like, a real goodbye.”

The actors of “Twilight” were under contract for the first three films in the saga. But with “New Moon,” the cast expanded, enveloping several big-name actors, including Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning. Suddenly, due to the popularity of the series, the actors of “Twilight” have rapidly filling schedules and less time to wait on studio decisions.

“Between ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’ I did three films,” Lutz said. “Us actors are having offers for tons of stuff now. To get the…actors that are a part of this –- the Volturi, the wolves, the Cullens — that’s a lot of actors to just say, months before we shoot, ‘Hey, can you guys come do this movie?’ Because we don’t have contracts for it. So nothing’s telling us, you know, ‘Hold these dates.’ And there’s only a small time frame that we could shoot in…because of weather. So I hope they make their mind (up) after ‘New Moon’ comes out.”

In the end, Lutz said that it’s all up to the fans.

“We all fell in love with our characters,” he said, “all hoping that you know, we could continue on…it really matters for the fans, if they come out and support ‘New Moon.’ Because we all want to finish this baby. It’s such a part of us, and it would just seem empty not to finish the last chapter.”

“I probably shouldn’t say this, but I’ve heard that we’re going to shoot [‘Breaking Dawn’] in Portland,” Robert told MTV News during the “New Moon” junket last weekend.

And if Robert were to get his dream director wish, local Portland-based Oscar nominee Van Sant would be in the director’s seat.

“I think Gus Van Sant would be great to do it,” he said.

The young actor thinks the double Oscar nominee for “Good Will Hunting” and “Milk” would bring cinematic beauty to the fourth book.

“He shoots everything in Portland. He’s good at making it look beautiful,” Robert said. “It’s all about teenage love and obsessions. I think Gus Van Sant would be great.”

It will still revolve around the love story between mortal beauty Bella Swan and hundred-year-old vampire Edward Cullen. Previously, there was a rumor that the fourth book may be split up into three movies, while the author, Stephenie Meyer, believes it should be made into two films.

Meanwhile, the upcoming "Twilight Saga" movie, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", can be seen in U.S. theaters on November 20. Breaking Dawn Movie Updates: Robert Pattinson discusses pre-'Breaking Dawn' projects

Even if none of the other actors at Friday's (Nov. 6) "Twilight Saga: New Moon" press day knew when Summit hopes to shoot the franchise's fourth installment, Robert Pattinson has "Breaking Dawn" on his schedule.

"I think the tentative time for 'Breaking Dawn' is fall of next year," Pattinson says of the project, currently without a script or a director. "I think. They may well change that."

While Pattinson sounds far from sure about that timetable, he knows he has projects he wants to get to first. Although Pattinson joked to reporters that he only had three days off in 2009, his 2010 sounds no clearer.

After spending the next couple months promoting "New Moon" around the world, Pattinson is hoping to start production on "Bel Ami," an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's short story, in February.

After that, the once-and-future Edward Cullen is hoping to transition directly into "Unbound Captives," a period Western co-starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz and representing the featuring directing debut of actress Madeline Stowe.

"I play a kid who was kidnapped by Comanches when it was four years old and brought up by them and then his mother spends her entire life trying to find me and my sister," Pattinson explains to reporters. "And when she finds us, we can't know who she is or anything about the Western culture she grew up in. I speak in Comanche the whole movie. You can't really be more different from Edward."

He adds, "I actually signed on to that after I did 'Twilight,' but in the summer, a couple months after I finished. It was really before anything had happened. It was just a cool script... It reminds me in a lot of ways of 'Giant.'"

Pattinson knows that he's in a very particular place in his career. Since doing "Twilight" and becoming a worldwide star, he's only shot one film outside of the franchise, 2010's "Remember Me," while the release of "Little Ashes," shot pre-"Twilight," stirred up negligible box office buzz.

"I'm still a little bit blind as to what my actual economic viability is outside of the series," Pattinson admits.

Suddenly, he's a big enough star that parts are getting thrown at him, but that's produced a new level of wariness.

"It's definitely different, because you get offered stuff that you'd never dreamed of getting offered before, but that's scary as well, because you don't have to audition for anything, so you're like, 'Well I don't want to do a movie just because it gets made,'" he says.

Pattinson adds, "Before 'Twilight,' I did any movie I got and you try to do the best of it, but now you're expected to go come into the movie and provide not only economic viability, but performance as well because people are like 'You can't just mess around. We're employing you to be a star and an actor.' It's difficult and it's scary."

Rumor: Three Twilight Breaking Dawn Films

A report has sprung up at the Acting 411 Blog claiming the final Twilight book, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, will be split into three films. The original Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, set to start shooting this month, are all single films.

The report claims "sources" provided the information but does not list them, hardly a ringing endorsement for fact without the backing of an official Summit announcement. If you take a step back and put yourself in Summit's news, the theoretical move makes all the sense in the world.

The Twilight phenomena has reached astronomical proportions, bolstered this past week by sales of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight novels surpassing Harry Potter. Unlike Potter which Warner Bros. Pictures has turned into eight films, there are only four Twilight books to work from.

By breaking the final Twilight film into three parts shot concurrently, Summit Entertainment can effectively triple their earnings from the single purchase price for the rights to the Breaking Dawn book. More importantly, they can stretch out Twilight into 2012 if necessary and use every day between now and then to draw in new fans and sell multiple versions of the previously released Twilight films on home video.

Also think of how many now 6 to 8 year-old girls can be exposed to Twilight with a couple extra years in the mainstream media. Better practice covering your ears now, just in case.

Breaking Dawn: Will the Movie Beat the Book?

After Robert Pattinson’s announcement that Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s ridiculously popular Twilight Saga, will hit the big screen, we got to thinking: Will it make a good movie? And more important, will it turn out better than the book?
Breaking Dawn is very different from the first three novels in the series (Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse) and saw numerous mixed reviews during its release week. The millions-strong fan base was divided — everyone either loved it or hated it.
We’ve come up with 10 ways the movie could either rake in major box-office bucks or epically fail in a way not seen since Speed Racer dropped off the face of the planet. Even Pattinson might not be enough to save this one.

1. Bella and Edward's Wedding

The wedding and first 100 pages of Breaking Dawn is, without a doubt, the most entertaining part of the book. It’s like old style Twilight, with every character acting as they should (except for Edward and the garter ... weird much?), and the ever-present Bella-Edward-Jacob love triangle. Unfortunately, the most anticipated event since the Millennium is over all too quickly and things start to get worse as soon as our vampire and his bride reach their honeymoon destination, the Isle Esme. When Breaking Dawn is finally made into a movie, more emphasis should be put into the wedding: It’s the last time a lot of fans felt like they were reading The Twilight Saga and not some dodgy fan-fic found on the Internet.

2. The "Sex" Scenes

Yep, you read that right. Bella and Edward finally get it on, in what can only be described as the most absent sex scene written since the 1900s. The act itself is merely implied, with the only proof it happened some broken headboards and bitten pillows. Oh, and a very bruised Bella. How they’ll portray this in the movie is anyone’s guess, and no doubt complaints of abuse and domestic violence are a big fear of everyone involved with the movie. If it stays rated PG-13 like its predecessors, ardent fans of Bella and Edward can kiss goodbye to their much adored night of passion. Sorry kids, it’s still implication only.

3. Jacob's Third of the Book

Werewolf Jacob takes center stage for a third of the book in what is arguably the best section of the entire 800-page tome. He’s funny, realistic, and probably the only one in the book to actually stay in character. If you were a member of Team Edward before, I guarantee you’ll rethink your loyalty after reading Part 2. The young Jacob Black is seriously that endearing, redeeming what is an otherwise tiresome read. Look for Taylor Lautner to take center stage on the movie posters — he’ll be carrying this one solo.

4. Renesmee's Birth

Normal births are painful, right? They hurt, they’re messy, and yet some women have them time and time again. Stephenie Meyer takes birthing to the next level in Breaking Dawn by having a giant baby literally crack its way out of mommy dearest. Bella’s spine breaks, leaving her writhing around like a beetle stuck on its back. Edward swoops in to the rescue and rips the baby out of Bella’s uterus with his bare-yet-sharp vampire teeth, then proceeds to turn his beloved into a vampire in order to save her fragile human life. PG-13? Uhh ... no, not so much.

5. Renesmee Carlie Cullen

Ignore the name for now, I’ll get to that soon enough. The idea that Bella and Edward could have a half-vampire, half-human baby is absurd, but to actually follow through on that idea is not only ridiculous but unnecessary. It turned Bella into a crazy, Rosalie-dependent robot and made Edward almost non-existent (more on that later). Renesmee is an annoying character and one that I have no desire to see immortalized on a DVD disc. Her accelerated growth and intelligence could prove to be quite a problem for casting agents, not to mention the poor director who has to work with a small child. Then there’s the topic of her name: Renesmee Carlie Cullen, a mishmash of Bella and Edward’s mothers’ (Renee and Esme) and fathers’ (Charlie and Carlisle) names. Eurgh.

6. A Major Lack of Edward

We all know that Edward and Robert Pattinson are the driving forces behind this franchise, so what would happen if he ceased to exist for most of the fourth film? You’d have a problem, that’s for sure. In Breaking Dawn Edward is all but forgotten after the first 100 pages or so, and basically just mopes and moans whenever he pops up during the rest of the book. He’s a shadow of his former, chivalrous self and hardly utters a loving word to the girl he’s been waiting an eternity for. Summit would have to change this for the movie or Robert Pattinson may find himself strangely redundant. It’s no fun playing a vampire who’s lost his bite.

7. An Influx of Utterly Pointless Characters

Many new vampires get introduced during the latter part of Breaking Dawn. Unfortunately, though, none of them really do much of anything. Yes, they can be pretty entertaining at times, but they’re in no way crucial to the story development. If casting execs can only choose a handful of new characters to cast, my vote would go to Garrett, Kate, Peter, Charlotte, and Alistair. The others (yes, there are plenty more) are barely worth mentioning and should only be cast if Summit suddenly find itself with more cash, and time, than it needs.

8. The Absence of Action

Hardly anyone dies in Breaking Dawn. Come to think of it, hardly anyone fights or even breaks a sweat. The vampire Irina is the only fatality and, seeing as we’re only introduced to her in this book, no one really cares about her anyway. Meyer botched things up when it came to killing her characters, all of whom just live happily ever after. There’s no epic battle like in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In fact, there isn’t a sharpened fang in sight. It’s simple: Movies need action or the audience gets bored. It looks like the screenwriter, Melissa Rosenberg, will have to do what she’s done with New Moon and tweak some scenes here and there in order to keep the fans awake.

9. Superfluous Plot Points that Go Nowhere

Bella’s power and J. Jenks. Both of these story developments are emphasized as important and crucial to the plot, yet neither really go anywhere. Yes, Bella saves everyone with her convenient shield that not even the most powerful of vampires can break, but it still wasn’t the revelation it should have been. If this is the reason that Edward can’t read Bella’s mind, I think I’d have preferred not knowing and making my own explanation — I’m sure it would have been better than a Lily Potter-esque love shield. The movie script will need to be edited better than the book or it’ll end up as an 8-hour timesink.

10. A Vampire War that’s Won by ... Talking?

When was the last time you saw bloodthirsty vampires back down because some friendlier vampires asked them to? Never, of course. That’s just not how it works in the world of the undead. They fight, they kill, then they go and toast to their night. They don’t stand around talking for half an hour before deciding they have better things to do. It’s something that can almost be overlooked in a book, but in a movie? No way. Something has to happen to keep the audience entertained, and a friendly chat ain’t going to cut it.

Breaking Dawn pre-production begins

So it’s been common knowledge for a while that “Eclipse,” the third installment of the “Twilight” Saga will definitely make it to the big screen; however, there has been some speculation about “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth and final book.

Although it has been mentioned by the cast, and rumored around the internet, Summit Entertainment has not confirmed anything yet. However, Summit Entertainment recently sent out an open casting call for the roles of Seth and Leah Clearwater in “Eclipse” inviting actors and actresses to send in audition tapes reading the given scenes. The scenes clearly portray plot lines from “Breaking Dawn.” Are you thinking what we’re thinking?

'Breaking Dawn': Summit, step up your game

"Twilight" star Robert Pattison has confirmed that a fourth film in the franchise will move forward. Hero Complex newcomer Emily Christianson has some thoughts on who might be best behind the camera for the "Breaking Dawn" adpatation. Here's her list of possible directors...

"Breaking Dawn" will see the light of day and that's exciting news for "Twilight" fans who thought it couldn’t be done.

With countless challenges ahead for anyone hired to helm the project, Summit would be well advised to take their buckets of cash and invest in a director who knows makeup, special effects and young love and won’t balk at the thought of a rapidly growing vampire baby. Not to mention inheriting the vampires and werewolves of past directors Catherine Hardwicke, Chris Weitz and David Slade.

Who is worthy of such a challenge? We’ve thought of six so far....

Peter Jackson: The "Lord of the Rings" series -- "The Fellowship of the Ring,” “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King” -- and “King Kong”

The New Zealander carries emotional story lines and dialogue to full tilt. With the help of the Weta Workshop and his Oscar-winning friend Richard Taylor, the makeup and design effects would be a cinch.

Guillermo del Toro: “Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Hellboy,” “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” and “The Hobbit”

With "Hellboy," he dressed a grown man in latex prosthetics for a movable and realistic look and then commissioned dozens of individual creatures for "Hellboy II." A dozen or so werewolves and some vampires would be a walk in the park for this director, who’s overseeing “The Hobbit” next.

Len Wiseman: “Underworld,” “Underworld: Evolution” and “Live Free or Die Hard”

If Slade (“30 Days of Night”) can direct “Eclipse,” then Wiseman could definitely lend his vampire and werewolf experience to “Breaking Dawn.” He would have to leave the goth garb behind, but bringing along his wife, Kate Beckinsale, for a vamp cameo would be even better.

Andrew Adamson: “Shrek,” “Shrek 2,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “Prince Caspian.”

Mixing fantasy with reality is his forte, which would be a natural progression from what we’ve seen so far. From a live-action Mr. Tumnus (James McAvoy) to the computer-generated Aslan, Adamson's got enough tricks up his sleeve to make Renesmee look real.

Sam Raimi: “Spider-Man" 1-4, “Drag Me to Hell,” “The Evil Dead” and “Army of Darkness”

Raimi is where horror meets sci-fi, and he doesn’t shy away from romance. His humor and camp could do wonders with Jacob’s sometimes snarky attitude in the final book. He’s also the most qualified for Bella’s gut-wrenching birth scene.

Alfonso Cuarón: “Great Expectations,” “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Paris, je t’aime” and “Children of Men”

A fav director among the Harry Potter filmmakers, he was also the one to bring Lupin (a.k.a. the werewolf prof) to the big screen. Cuarón disrobed (in the most innocent sense) the teens and made them more relatable to audiences, which "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer would surely appreciate.

TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN CONFIRMED!

Today is a good day to be a Twilighter.

Earlier today you got a look at the first character poster for NEW MOON (see it here), and now comes word direct from star Robert Pattinson that Stephenie Meyer's fourth chapter in the TWILIGHT SAGA, BREAKING DAWN will indeed become a film.

Pattinson confirmed the news while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at Cannes, where he also stated that he'd be on the way to shooting the final four days of "New Moon" in Italy on Friday, then heading back to Vancouver in October to finish up "Twilight: Eclipse," the third installment of the series.

Robert Pattinson committed to 'Breaking Dawn'

Robert Pattinson has confirmed that he'll star in Breaking Dawn, the fourth movie in the Twilight franchise -- he just doesn't know when. In Cannes, before heading to Italy to shoot the final four days on New Moon, the actor told The Hollywood Reporter that Summit Entertainment hasn't been able to set a start date for the final film because of his busy schedule. His plate includes shooting a romantic drama for the studio, Remember Me (formerly known as Memoirs); then wrapping the third Twilight film, Eclipse, this fall; and then joining Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz on the set of Madeleine Stowe's directorial debut, Unbound Captives, perhaps as early as year's end.
